After an out was recorded, Reggie Sanders stepped in and he ripping a solo home run (his 3rd of the season). Rheal Cormier(2-0) got relief help from John Smoltz who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 5th save. Elmer Dessens(1-1) was hit with the loss in relief. 'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully grim,' noted Adam Smith. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together and turn things around!'
