The Dublin Pubcrawlers were able to stop their 7 game losing streak and nipped
the Chicago Rastafarians 3 to 2 at the ballpark in a hard fought
contest.
Dublin had the winning rally in the 8th inning with 2 runs using 3 hits.
Corey Koskie began the Dublin spurt when he delivered a solo blast (his 10th
of the season). After an out was recorded, Reggie Sanders stepped in and he
ripping a solo home run (his 3rd of the season). Rheal Cormier(2-0) got
relief help from John Smoltz who was excellent in relief and gained credit
for his 5th save.
Elmer Dessens(1-1) was hit with the loss in relief. 'Ahhh, that victory was
surely needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully grim,' noted Adam
Smith. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together and turn things
around!'
